The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Portuguese-Speaking Countries in the Greater Bay Area of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau, Rodrigo Brum, made his first official visit to São Tomé and Príncipe. This visit was marked by a series of strategic meetings with government members, diplomats, and business entities, aimed at strengthening cooperation relations and promoting business development between the two regions. The mission focused on reinforcing existing collaboration and exploring new business and investment opportunities.

Visit to Ambassador Xu Yengtzen at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China

Rodrigo Brum paid formal respects to the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in São Tomé and Príncipe, Xu Yengtzen. During this meeting, both parties discussed the importance of strengthening relations between the Greater Bay Area and São Tomé and Príncipe, with a special focus on increasing trade exchanges and cooperation in the fields of innovation and technology.

This was one of several working meetings aimed at enhancing the presence of Chinese businesses in the region and consolidating ties of friendship and economic collaboration.

Meeting with the Minister of Planning and Finance, Genésio da Mata

During the meeting with the Minister of Planning and Finance of São Tomé and Príncipe, Genésio da Mata, strategies were discussed for the country’s economic development and strengthening cooperation between both sides.

This meeting represented a deepening of the friendship and collaboration relations that had already begun, aiming to create favorable conditions for strategic investments in infrastructure and finance, targeting sustainable economic growth.

The official mission included a meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture, and Services of São Tomé and Príncipe (CCIAS), Jorge Correia.

This visit was the first of several working meetings aimed at establishing deeper collaboration between the chambers of commerce, with the goal of promoting economic development and the exchange of business projects.

The exchange of ideas focused on joint initiatives that could boost the growth of local and international businesses, as well as strengthen support networks for entrepreneurship.

Meeting at the Brazilian Embassy with Diplomat Rafael Paulino

The President of C-PLP-C was also received at the Brazilian Embassy in São Tomé and Príncipe by Brazilian diplomat Rafael Paulino.

The meeting served to discuss future cooperation between business entities in Portuguese-speaking countries, with particular emphasis on Brazil's role in fostering entrepreneurship and the exchange of business experiences and knowledge.

Both parties agreed to continue exploring new opportunities for collaboration, strengthening the historical relationship between the two countries.
